Danish director Mathias Rodrigues Bjerre grew up in the coastal town of Esbjerg, where his passion for filmmaking led him to art-direct national television for Danish Broadcasting and gain acceptance into the prestigious National Film School of Denmark at just 19.

Since graduating as an Animation Director, Mathias has garnered numerous awards and special mentions for his short films, which have screened at festivals across the globe. Known for his blend of relatable storytelling, humor, and satire, his work has resonated with a vast audience. Mathias’s content has reached over 80 million viewers worldwide, with viral posts featuring brands like Soundboks and Coca-Cola, helping him amass a following of around 200,000.

A true creative polymath, Mathias pairs his storytelling skills with deep technical expertise in digital and animated content creation. With over 12 years of experience, his animation portfolio spans a variety of styles from stylized 2D to realistic 3D. Mastering every stage of the production pipeline, he recently leveraged his programming skills to build a custom setup that accelerates animation processing, having written over 10,000 lines of Python code and implemented a SQL database.

While continuing to direct commercials and short films, Mathias is actively developing longer-format content for TV and film with production companies such as A.Film A/S, Morph Film, Frau Film, and Angel Films A/S.
